Unpacking the water filter
The combipack and the water filters are sealed packed. Also – to prevent damage during transport – we have sent the combipack with extra packaging material. If you have trouble unpacking, watch our unboxing video.
Here's a tip! Don't store your water filter jug in direct sunlight, but clean it once a month, without the filter (preferably not in the dishwasher).
Important for first use
Replacing the filter in your AzurAqua Water Filter Pitcher is essential to continue to get clean, filtered water. Follow these simple steps to replace the filter correctly.
Tighten your water filter properly: Turn the top of the water filter clockwise to the bottom of your pitcher. It is important to tighten this, otherwise the water can flow around and you will not use your water filter.
Rinse your water filter twice: Our products are delivered sealed for the best quality. However, it is wise to rinse your water filter completely twice before first use.
Measure the TDS value of your tap water: Use the TDS meter to measure a starting value of your tap water. How to do this and how to interpret the value is explained further down on this page.
The AzurAqua Water Filter is only suitable for contaminated tap water. It is not intended to filter other liquids, such as alcohol, rain or ditch water. If you have done this anyway, you can still use the Pitcher when you clean it and replace the filter.
Using and resetting the filter indicator
Activate your LED filter replacement indicator:
Press the LED on the top of the Water Filter Jug with your finger for 3 seconds. The light will flash and then remind you to measure your water quality after one month. The light itself does not measure water quality.
How to reset your LED filter replacement indicator:
Is the LED red?? Then press the button for at least 3 seconds until the light flashes blue. Note the date of the filter replacement so you know when to replace it next.
Test the quality of your tap water with the Water Meter
We believe it is important that you are well informed about the quality of your tap water. That is why you have received a water quality meter from us free of charge. With the water quality meter (TDS-Meter) you can easily - and at different times - measure your tap water.
Here's how it works:
Step 1
Turn on the TDS meter and hold it with the measuring side 3 cm in the water.
Step 2
Press the Hold button to freeze the measurement value.
Step 3
Remove the Water meter from the water and read the value.
Step 4
After testing, dry the test probes and replace the protective cap.
